Lucas Moura shares his view on one of Tottenham’s recent signing

When Lucas Moura swapped Paris Saint-German for Tottenham in January 2018, he became the club’s first signing since 2015 when they bought Dele Alli from MK Dons (Football.London).

While some of Tottenham’s superstars have been jetting off around the world to represent their country, Moura has been helping a recent signing to settle into life in North London.

Jose Mourinho finally managed to get a deal over the line for a forward when the club completed a season long loan agreement for Benfica’s Carlos Vinícius.

Moura has expressed his delight at having a compatriot within the ranks and also gave an insight into the personality of Vinícius, describing him as a very humble and simple guy.

Vinícius scoured 24 times in all competitions for Benfica last season and was the joint top scorer in the Primeira Liga with 18 goals (BBC).

Moura told the official Spurs site: “I’m very happy because I have a Brazilian guy with me!”

“I can speak Portuguese, I can joke with him about the things we speak about in Brazil. So, I’m very happy.

“Carlos is a great player, for sure. He will help us a lot. He’s a very humble guy, a very simple guy, and I’m so happy for him. He’s a very good player, a player we were missing in the squad, and for sure he will help.

“I’m so happy for him because he deserves it. He had such a good season with Benfica. Let’s help him now, and he will be good for us.”
