Lucas Moura’s stats against Ajax show exactly how lethal he was

Few players have the opportunity to be written into football folklore off the back of a single game, but Lucas Moura may have just achieved that feat.

The Brazilian striker was in sensational form last night against Ajax, in the absence of Tottenham’s main striker Harry Kane.

Lucas has been in and out of the Spurs side all season, but when on form he is seemingly impossible to stop.

He has already shown this through the season with his brace against Man United and his hat-trick against Huddersfield in the Premier League.

Last night, Moura went one better, scoring a second-half hat-trick in the semi-final of the biggest club competition in the world, the Champions League.

Moura converted two in quick succession in the 55th and 59th minutes, before beautifully guiding home a 96th-minute winner on the night.

This made it 3-2 on the night, and 3-3 on aggregate, with Spurs qualifying for the final on away goals.

Just look at Moura’s stats to see how lethal he was!
