Lucas ready for new chapter in career

Lucas Moura can’t wait to turn the page onto ‘a new chapter in my life’ at Spurs.

The Brazilian completed his transfer from Paris St Germain on transfer deadline day , signing a contract until 2023. He will wear shirt number 27.

An article on the club website describes how at just 25 Lucas has packed plenty into his short career already, including over 30 senior caps for Brazil and multiple trophies at PSG including four-successive Ligue 1 titles after joining the French club from Sao Paulo in January, 2013, scoring 46 goals and claimed another 50 assists in 229 games for PSG.

Lucas has also won the FIFA Confederations Cup (2013) and an Olympic silver medal (2012) with Brazil.

On his arrival at Hotspur Way our new recruit said: I’m so, so happy,” he said. “It’s a new chapter in my life, a new challenge for me.
“I’ve joined a big club with big players and I look forward to playing and helping the team.

I will have the opportunity to play, to show my talent and my quality and it’s also a big Club, a big structure, a lot of fans and the history of the Club is also very interesting. It’s a pleasure for me to play for Tottenham.”
