Luka Modric made incredible gesture against England on Sunday

Tottenham Hotspur have had a number of firm fan favourites in recent years, but little Luka Modric sits pretty high up that list.

The midfield maestro was an absolute sensation in North London, and enjoyed some great years at White Hart Lane, including a famous Champions League run.

Modric once again showed his class against England on Sunday, but not just on the pitch.

England took on Croatia for a spot in the finals of the UEFA Nations League, a game the three lions managed to win thanks to a late goal and assist from Harry Kane.

The opposition captain wasn’t one to mope, as he left the field of play to let the England players celebrate with their fans.

Football London report, he then hugged and congratulated the players as they came down the tunnel, stopping to have a hello with Gareth Southgate too.

He then enjoyed a warm embrace with former teammate Kyle Walker (Marca), before waiting five minutes to swap shirts with Harry Kane.

This appeared to be a pre-arranged deal.

Class.
