Luka Modric has commented ‘COYS’ on Ivan Perisic’s social media post expressing his excitement at completing a move to Tottenham Hotspur.
Spurs had quite a few Croats in the squad during Modric’s time at the club, with Vedran Corkula joining in the same summer as the midfielder before Niko Kranjcar and Stipe Pletikosa signed up across subsequent years.
In his first interview with Spurs TV, Perisic admitted that he used to follow Tottenham due to the Croatian presence at the club.
The 33-year-old also claimed he would reach out to his current international teammate Modric, as well as the likes of Pletikosa and Corluka to learn more about the club and the city.
The former Inter Milan star took to Instagram to express his excitement at joining Spurs and revealed that he cannot wait to get started.
Modric was one among those to respond to the post, with the 36-year-old writing: “COYS.”

It is great to see that Luka still has a lot of affection for Spurs. The level the midfielder is playing at Real Madrid in his late thirties is something to behold and hopefully, we see Perisic replicate similar longevity at Tottenham.
