Luka Modric’s son was spotted wearing a Tottenham home kit in the Real Madrid star’s most recent social media post.

It was at Spurs where Modric first rose to the limelight, with the midfielder establishing himself as one of the best midfielders in the Premier League during his four years at the North London club before making the move to Real Madrid.

Since his switch to the Spanish capital in 2012, the Croat has gone on to arguably become one of the greatest players in the history of the sport, helping Los Blancos win five Champions League titles, and even winning the Ballon d’Or in 2018.

Modric showed during the summer that he still has some affection for the Lilywhites, with the 37-year-old commenting ‘COYS’ on his compatriot Ivan Perisic’s Instagram post following his switch to Spurs.

It appears that Tottenham still have a special place in the Modric household, with the midfielder’s son, Ivano Modric, seen wearing the club’s kit in the picture that the Real Madrid man shared on his daughter’s birthday.

Ivano is 12 years old, which means that he was born when Modric was at Tottenham. He cannot have many memories of his dad playing for Spurs, given that he would have only been two when his dad joined Real Madrid. So, if he does support Spurs, that suggests that Luka continued following the Lilywhites even after he left the club.
