Lyon president reveals when Tanguy Ndombele will leave

Tottenham Hotspur have been involved in a number of transfer sagas already this summer window, but not a single one has been completed as of yet.

Spurs fans’ 16-month wait for a new signing goes on, despite the fact the club finished in the top four of the Premier League last season, as well as the Champions League final.

The Lilywhites will surely invest in a central midfield this summer though, with Mousa Dembele exiting the club back in January 2019.

Spurs have yet to replace the first team regular, however, they have been strongly linked with Lyon powerhouse Tanguy Ndombele (Sky Sports).

The 22-year-old was extremely impressive for Lyon last season, especially against the likes of Man City in the Champions League.

However, Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas has now claimed that the club have yet to receive an offer that they are happy with.

He also said that Lyon would look to bring in a young replacement before selling Ndombele.

Aulus said (Football London): “What I can say to you is if you see a very good box-to-box midfield youngster arrive, in the coming days, then there will be a chance that Tanguy Ndombele leaves, but for the moment, we have not received offers of the level that we feel is a just price.”

Spurs Web Opinion:

If Lyon do really want £60m for the central midfielder, I’m not sure what Daniel Levy is playing at. If he isn’t prepared to stump up that kind of money for Tottenham’s top target, I am not filled with hope regarding the rest of the transfer window.
