Mabbutt Surgery Success

Spurs legend Gary Mabbutt has been announced on social media to be in a stable condition following a successful heart surgery after being admitted to hospital on Monday evening.

Former 11 year Spurs skipper Gary Mabbutt, who made over 580 appearances for the club, was admitted to hospital on Monday due to severe chest pains and difficulty breathing.

The 55 year old then underwent heart surgery on Tuesday which Tottenham Hotspur announced as a success just this morning. The club took to Twitter to release the statement:

“After undergoing successful heart surgery yesterday, we can confirm Gary Mabbutt is now in a stable condition and recovering in hospital.”

After enjoying an incredible 16 year playing career at the club and winning two major trophies, Mabbutt began work as a club ambassador in 2010 and was included in the list of legends who took to the pitch at White Hart Lane during the finale parade in May.

We wish you a speedy recovery, skipper!
