Yet more Madrid/Modric unsettlement

Iker Casillas feels Luka Modric would be a fine addition to the Real Madrid squad.

The Spanish keeper has followed a number of his Madrid team-mates in publically endorsing a move for Modric which is very unprofessional in unsettling the Croatian even more.

Madrid however are yet to meet Tottenham’s valuation of £40million – so until they stump up the full transfer fee, maybe Mourinho should tell his players to keep it zipped.

Modric continues to train in London while AVB’s players complete their tour of the USA with a match against the New York Red Bulls tomorrow.

“I know him,” Casillas told the Spanish press.

“He has been a great player ever since he signed for Tottenham. I faced him in the Euros and he had a very good season.

“If the manager thinks he ought to be then I am sure he will be at the level of this squad. It is not our responsibility to say anything more.

“The club and the manager are those that decide what is best for the team to move a step forward.”
