According to The Express Real Madrid are still interested in poaching Harry Kane from Tottenham despite the striker recently signing a new deal just a few weeks ago

The Galacticos appeared to have been stunned this week by reports that Cristiano Ronaldo is keen to quit Spain and head to Juventus, where he will be paid £30m a season in Serie A.

Replacing Ronaldo would prove tricky and there is interest in PSG duo Neymar and Kylian Mbappe have been widely reported in recent months, especially for the former and with those deals near impossible the article says that it leads them to Harry Kane, claim Italian publication Corriere dello Sport.

Kane still remains a target for the Bernabeu outfit earning plenty admirers in the Spanish capital after excelling for Tottenham last season and boasts six goals for England at the World Cup this summer.

Naturally Spurs do not want to sell and a move to Real would only be likely if the player himself kicked up a however Corriere dello Sport claim Real president Florentino Perez remains keen on Kane even though the initial interest was wedded to the hope of appointing Mauricio Pochettino as the new Los Blancos manager.

The article concludes my saying It appears unlikely that Kane, 24, will ditch north London for the Spanish capital this summer and Real would likely have to break the world transfer record to land the frontman.

Have something to tell us about this article?

  1. I’ve been waiting for this to start up. Because he’s having a good World Cup the articles were bound to follow. The only fly in the ointment is the fact that he’s just signed an extension to his spurs contract so the stories can’t be further embellished with talk of him being open to the move. Danny Rose has just given an interview where he talks a lot about Kane, it’s a decent read. It tells you why he’s Cpt of England and why his teammates at spurs all love him. He must be a managers dream!!

  2. Many clubs admire and would sign Kane, but going on about wanting him to go elsewhere when he has so recently renewed his club contract is surely the most pointless kind of lusting after a player there could be.
