Madrid’s injury concerns ahead of Spurs showdown

‌Real Madrid have several injury worries, possibly missing Isco, Raphael Varane, Gareth Bale and Keylor Navas for Wednesday’s Champions League clash with Tottenham according to a report from FourFourTwo.

Madrid’s manager Zinedine Zidane had suggested Bale could well have recovered from a calf problem in time to face us but he trained alone on Monday at Valdebebas (Madrid’s training ground)

Goalkeeper Navas has missed Madrid’s last three games with an abductor problem, and remains a major doubt for the match at Wembley.

There were further blows on Sunday in the shock 2-1 LaLiga defeat to Girona, with defender Rafa Varane forced off at half-time with a suspected thigh injury and midfielder Isco taking a heavy knock in the closing stages.

Both trained indoors on Monday, away from the rest of the team that played in Catalonia.
Madrid also have Dani Carvajal and Mateo Kovacic sidelined, and Zidane is facing a major selection headache for Wednesdays meeting with Mauricio Pochettino’s side.

We are level on seven points each at the top of Group H and a win for either side will guarantee a place in the last 16.
