There has been a big update on the future of Tottenham target Maghnes Akliouche ahead of the summer window.
Spurs’ lack of quality in the final third was once again exposed at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday, with Roberto De Zerbi admitting that Spurs made too many mistakes in attack against Chelsea.
The Lilywhites are thus likely to look for reinforcements to their forward line this summer, and reports indicate that Tottenham are considering a move for Akliouche after testing the waters for the Monaco star in January.
The race for the France international is expected to intensify ahead of the summer window, and a new update has confirmed that several Premier League clubs are eyeing the player.

Three Premier League clubs could challenge Tottenham for Maghnes Akliouche
A new report in TEAMtalk has now revealed that Monaco are plotting an overhaul of their squad this summer, and they are ready to sell some of their stars in order to fund moves for their targets.
Akliouche is expected to be the headline departure, with the attacking midfielder attracting plenty of interest from the Premier League.
Tottenham have been joined in the race for the 24-year-old by Newcastle United, Liverpool and Manchester United ahead of the summer window.
It is revealed that all four clubs internally view Akliouche as ‘the standout’ target due to his technical quality, creativity and versatility.
European giants also enter race for Akliouche
If that were not enough, Spurs also have to contend with competition from one of the biggest clubs in Europe for the Monaco man.
TEAMtalk say that Paris Saint-Germain are now monitoring Akliouche extremely closely ahead of the summer and view him as a potential long-term replacement for Bradley Barcola if he exits the French capital.
Luis Enrique’s men feel that the attacking midfielder will ‘fit seamlessly into their evolving attacking structure’.
The website adds that Monaco are expecting the interest in Akliouche to intensify after the World Cup, with the 24-year-old likely to be one of the most sought-after attacking players in Ligue 1 this summer.
