Mauricio Pochettino is facing a further blow as we look set to lose one of the clubs brightest young talents with Ligue 1 side Lyon reportedly close to signing Reo Griffiths, according to Radio Scoop.
The young forward earlier this year hit the headlines for a his four goal haul in a victory over Arsenal Under 18’s and there was high hopes that he was to follow in Harry Kane’s footsteps.
Hopes were raised further when Griffiths signed a third year scholarship deal with Spurs the club earlier in the summer but could now depart for France.
He had caught the attention from the likes of RB Leipzig, Barcelona and Celtic however now it seems Lyon are set to poach one of Spurs leading young talents.
The Radio Scoop report says that despite the club already having young forwards Amine Gouiri and Myziane Maolida on their books they could finalise a deal for Griffiths in the coming days.
Spurs have lost a couple of talented youngsters in recent months but losing Griffiths may just hit the hardest.
