‘Major problem’ – Redknapp makes Spurs prediction that Liverpool will hate

Jamie Redknapp has predicted that Tottenham Hotspur could pose a major problem to Liverpool when they travel to Anfield on May 7.

Tottenham have now emerged as favourites to clinch fourth place, thanks to their impressive form over recent weeks and their rivals dropping points.

Antonio Conte’s men now sit three points clear of Arsenal in fourth place and although the Gunners have a game in hand, they also have a much tougher set of fixtures compared to their North London rivals.

The most challenging game left for the Lilywhites in their run-in is the clash against Liverpool, who are locked in a battle with Manchester City for the Premier League title.

There is just one point separating Jurgen Klopp and Pep Guardiola’s men at the summit of the table and Redknapp believes the clash between the Reds and Spurs could decide whether the league title ends up at Anfield or the Etihad this season.

The former Liverpool and Spurs midfielder told The Daily Mail: “I find this title race impossible to call.

“I’ve got this feeling Liverpool v Tottenham on May 7 will be significant. Can Klopp’s crew navigate that one? That might be the match which causes them a major problem.”

Spurs Web Opinion

Liverpool will be confident of beating any team at Anfield but we do have the firepower to hurt them.

However, I am not at all confident about that game and would prefer us to have a significant buffer over Arsenal heading into that clash.

If we play even half as bad as we did in the first half at Villa Park, Liverpool could completely blow us away.
