Man City star not looking forwad to Tottenham game

Tottenham Hotspur will look to put their Champions League misery behind them on Monday with a win at home to Manchester City.

Three points in this fixture would see Spurs leapfrog their title rival.

The match is due to be played at Wembley Stadium, as Tottenham’s stadium is still not ready.

The fixture was moved from a Sunday to a Monday due to the prior scheduling or an NFL game that day.

The Jacksonville Jaguars take on Philadelphia Eagles on the Wembley turf this weekend, the third game of its kind in recent weeks.

This should leave the national stadium grass looking far from pristine for the Premier League match.

Spurs and City are two teams who pride themselves on their passing football, particularly out from the back.

It will be interesting to see if this is possible on Monday, and if it will bring any mistakes to the surface.

Man City star Kevin de Bruyne told the Telegraph he was not looking forward to it: “We have played on an NFL pitch before in pre-season and it’s not nice.

“It’s going to be difficult. I’m not sure how it’s going to be. We hope it will be OK and we can play like we normally do.”
