Tottenham have explored a move for a wide-forward, who has 25 goal contributions this season, but Man United want him too.
Spurs’ inability to create chances and deliver quality in the final third has arguably been their Achilles heel all season.
Many Tottenham fans would expect the club to prioritise adding firepower to their forward line in the summer, and a 20-year-old wide-forward has allegedly caught the North London club’s radar.
It first emerged ahead of the January window that Spurs were plotting a move for an Ajax starlet who is having a breakthrough season in Amsterdam, but one of their rivals have now entered the transfer race.

Man United step up efforts to beat Tottenham to Mika Godts
The player we are referring to is Mika Godts, who has scored 14 goals and provided 11 assists across all competitions so far this term.
It has now been revealed by journalist Sacha Tavolieri that another Premier League club have made a move for the rumoured Tottenham target.
Tavolieri states that Man United have contacted Ajax to explore the terms of a summer deal for Godts, who is expected to be on the move this summer
The journalist wrote on X: “Manchester United officially made contact with Ajax Amsterdam to explore the potential terms of a deal for Mika Godts. Belgian talent will be one of the main attractions in the upcoming market and is expected to leave the Dutch club next summer.”
Spurs may have to spend big to land Godts
During the January window, it was reported that Ajax were willing to sell Godts to Tottenham for £40m.
However, the 20-year-old, who can operate as a number ten or on the flanks, has continued to bolster his reputation with match-winning contributions over the last two months.
One would thus expect Ajax’s asking price to go up even further, with Spurs thus potentially having to spend big to secure the services of the Belgian youth international.
