Man Utd receive major injury boost ahead of Spurs test

Tottenham Hotspur will return to Premier League action next weekend as they face a rejuvenated Manchester United at Wembley.

The Manchester club have found new energy after former striker Ole Gunnar Solskjaer replaced Jose Mourinho as the interim manager until the end of the current season.

Since the change, the Red Devils have really clicked in front of goal and have swept aside the teams they have faced. However, their game against Mauricio Pochettino’s side at Wembley represents their first real test under Solskjaer.

United have received a major boost as the latest news coming out of the club indicates that both Paul Pogba and Alexis Sanchez might be fit for the game.

Pogba picked up an injury against Newcastle, which saw the Frenchman miss Man Utd’s FA Cup game against Reading, but according to ESPN FC, the 25-year-old will be fit in time for the Tottenham game.

Sanchez meanwhile went off the pitch due to a hamstring problem against Reading but Solskjaer has told Sky Sports that he his hopeful the Chilean will be available to face Spurs.

Given Spurs’ recent form, they will certainly fancy their chances no matter what team Man Utd play but there is no denying that having Pogba and Sanchez available for the game is a huge boost to Solskjaer’s men.

However, before Spurs can turn their attentions to the visit of United, they must first do battle with Chelsea in the first leg of the Carabao Cup semi-final against Chelsea at Wembley tomorrow night
