Man Utd star would flourish at Spurs claims ex-pro

Expert pundit Danny Murphy believes that Marcus Rashford would flourish at Spurs if he made the move over to North London.

Rashford has been in Manchester United’s first team for four seasons now, but has failed to make a consistent spot in the starting line up his.

After 125 appearances at the club, and only 32 goals, he is beginning to earn the dangerous reputation of being an impact sub.

Danny Murphy believes that a club like Tottenham would show more faith in the young man, which is exactly what he needs to make the next step up.

Tottenham became the first club ever to not make a single purchase in the summer transfer window this season, but a settled squad seems to be doing the trick so far for Pochettino’s men.

Danny Murphy argued: “People will question the lack of investment, but they also need to remember that the likes of Dele Alli only flourished because they were afforded such long opportunities in the side at the expense of always trying to break the bank on superstars.

“If [Marcus] Rashford was at Tottenham and he had showed such potential, he would be playing every week and he would have improved so much.

“Instead, [Jose] Mourinho went out and got [Alexis] Sanchez and Rashford’s opportunities are even more limited. That’s a prime example of the difference in mentality between Tottenham and a Manchester United.”

Is Murphy right? Would Rashford flourish in North London? Is he poorly managed at United?
