Manager claims ‘it’s an open secret’ that Spurs and Arsenal linked man wants to leave

Toulouse coach, Patrice Garande has admitted that rumoured Tottenham target Ibrahim Sangare is likely to be on his way out of the club before the transfer window shuts.

Sangare has won many admirers with his performances last season after breaking into the Toulouse side but his displays were not enough to see the club avoid the drop.

Following the club’s relegation from the French top flight, the midfielder has been tipped to leave this summer, with Tottenham reportedly keen on snapping him up after scouting him extensively (GFFN).

The 22-year-old is also said to be on Arsenal’s radar as Mikel Arteta looks to strengthen his midfielder before the transfer window shuts (Tuttosport via MilanLive).

Sangare was left out of the Toulouse squad for their clashes against Sochaux and Clermont Foot last week, both of which ended in draws.

Garande confirmed that the midfielder is not in the right state of mind to play amidst the speculation over his future.

When asked about Sangre, he told Les Violets: “It’s an open secret to know some players are leaving, that they have a desire (to go). I have nothing against them.

“I had a discussion with those concerned and decided that until 5 October they will only do training. I will not take them on weekends for matches. I need to have boys who are 100 per cent committed (to) the club. It’s clear.

“Afterwards, if they are still there at the end of the transfer window, they will apply again for a place in the team.”

Spurs Web Opinion

It is clear that we are not in the market for a midfielder this summer but I am hoping we return for Sangare’s services in January, as the 22-year-old has all the attributes to become a top deep-lying midfielder. Not only is he very good at winning the ball back but he is extremely athletic and boasts of an excellent passing range. Let’s just hope Arsenal do not snap him up as he seems like an excellent fit for the Premier League.
