Slavia Prague manager Jindrich Trpisovsky has been speaking about Antonin Kinsky’s big move to Spurs and has made a bold prediction about the goalkeeper.

Antonin Kinsky’s whirlwind start to life at Spurs
Just a few weeks ago, Kinsky was lining up for Slavia Prague against the likes of Teplice and Banik in the Czech First League.
It would have been hard for the youngster to imagine at the time that very soon, he was going to be involved in a huge Carabao Cup semifinal against Liverpool and an away North London Derby at the Emirates Stadium.
To say that Kinsky has had a whirlwind start to life at Spurs would be an understatement, and the 21-year-old has risen to the challenges so far and has shown enormous self-belief.

Kinsky’s former manager makes confident prediction
The young goalkeeper is set to battle Guglielmo Vicario for Tottenham’s number-one shirt once the experienced Italian returns from his injury.
It might still be early days for Kinsky at Spurs, but Slavia boss Jindrich Trpisovsky is convinced that the Tottenham newcomer is bound to write his name into the history books.
Trpisovsky told Dnes: “I myself was very happy, what kind of story Tonda [Kinsky] is writing. I saw him for the first time on the pitch of Admira in Prague.
“I was behind the goal when he was winning the cup for Dukla. He was 17. Now I turn on the TV and the same Tonda is playing against Liverpool. I’ll admit I’ve rarely had such a feeling in front of the TV.”
“Now I will be very brave, but I am convinced that Tonda has the quality to one day become the best goalkeeper in Czech history.”
That is certainly high praise considering that one of the Premier League‘s all-time greats, Petr Cech, came from the country.

Antonin Kinsky is still a raw talent
The one thing to consider is the fact that goalkeepers usually peak much later than outfield players, with many only playing their best football in their thirties.
Kinsky is still very young for a goalkeeper, and he will make his fair share of mistakes on his way to becoming a finished product.
If the youngster does prove to be the real deal, Tottenham are potentially looking at someone who can be their number one for the next 15 years.
