Manager seeks Mauricio Pochettino’s advice on potential move for Spurs player

According to a report by Football Insider, Marcelo Bielsa has contacted former Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino in order to gather more information about Juan Foyth ahead of a potential move for him this summer.

Foyth has hardly got any game time at Spurs since the arrival of Jose Mourinho and reports indicate that the 22-year-old may have already featured for the last time in a Tottenham shirt.

The defender has been backed to leave the North London giants permanently in the summer with Leeds United touted as a possible destination in the event they manage to win promotion to the Premier League.

More recently, a season-long loan move to Elland Road has also been suggested as a possibility for the Argentina international (Argentine journalist Nicolas Bozza).

Football Insider now claim that Bielsa remains keen on securing a move for Foyth and contacted Pochettino to get the lowdown on the former Estudiantes defender.

The report backs the Elland Road to make an offer for the Spurs stopper when the transfer window opens.

Spurs Web Opinion

I am in the minority of fans who believes that Foyth can potentially come good at centre-half instead of defensive midfield or right-back. He is a very good defender in one vs one situations and is dominant in winning 50-50 duals despite his small frame.

He just needs to cut some unforced errors out of his game, and I believe that will come with more games under his belt. I would be extremely pleased if we were to loan him out to another Premier League side.
