Manchester City receive another boost ahead of Spurs trip

We covered yesterday that Manchester City could have Sergio Aguero back for their trip to Tottenham after the international break.

The Times reported that the 31-year-old is now undertaking individual ball work at the training ground and is hopeful of being involved in a full training session this week, ahead of City’s trip to North London.

Football.London has revealed that City could be set to receive have another boost in the form of the return of Fernandinho and Benjamin Mendy.

The report suggests that Aguero, Fernandinho and Mendy “are all expected to be available” for the Premier League clash on November 21.

This means that Pep Guardiola’s men will travel to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium with a near full-strength side, in what will be a massive test of Spurs’ title credentials.

Nathan Ake is a doubt for the game after picking up an injury on international duty with the Netherlands but that is unlikely to worry Guardiola too much given how well Aymeric Laporte and Ruben Dias have been playing.
