Tottenham Hotspur’s uncertain league position is beginning to attract interest from rivals, with Man United now sniffing around Archie Gray.
There was a huge drop-off in the performances of both Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United last season in the Premier League, where the two sides finished 17th and 16th, respectively.
However, this season United look to have got their act together and have moved up thirteen places – currently sat third in the league table.
Meanwhile, Spurs’ woes have only worsened as they find themselves in 17th, but this time it is a full-on relegation scrap.

Tottenham transfers: Manchester United target Archie Gray if Spurs are relegated
Tottenham run the risk of losing their top-flight status, one they have held for almost half a century, with just one point separating them from 18th-placed West Ham United.
Should the unthinkable happen and Spurs go down, Sports Boom are now reporting that Manchester United will be looking to poach Tottenham’s standout performer this season – Archie Gray.
The youngster has shown maturity above his years, and Gray was even described as “phenomenal” by team-mate Dominic Solanke, who praised his leadership qualities.
It is understood that United, who found it hard to land the 20-year-old back in 2024, are now hoping he will be open to a move should Tottenham be relegated.
Tottenham fans have already made it clear that they want Gray to be the next Spurs captain.
Spurs face Archie Gray battle despite player assurances
A fee worth around £55m is what is being considered by United as they look to test Spurs’ resolve.
However, that is much lower than the value Tottenham would place on Gray if they were still in the Premier League.
But Spurs know that competition for Gray will be rife in the summer, with Bayern Munich and Real Madrid amongst those keeping tabs on the Englishman.
Interestingly, though, it is reported that the 20-year-old has given his assurances to Tottenham that he will not look to depart in the summer, even if the club are relegated, as he sees his long-term future with them.
