Many Spurs fans will love Redknapp’s comments on big names linked with moves away

Most of us have come to accept that part of being a Tottenham Hotspur fan is to constantly have pundits and the media trying to sell our best players.

Despite Tottenham establishing themselves as Champions League regulars over the past few seasons, the speculation about big names potentially leaving the club haven’t gone away.

This season has been no different as Pochettino has been linked extensively with the Manchester United job, despite repeatedly insisting that he is happy at Tottenham.

Harry Kane is also always linked with a move to Real Madrid, despite his apparent love for Spurs from growing up as a local lad.

So, it was a great moment when former Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp stood up for his former team today by rubbished suggestions that Pochettino and Kane will leave the club in the summer.

The 72-year-old insisted that there was no reason for Pochettino to leave considering that he has a great squad to work with, a fabulous new stadium and a world-class training ground.

Speaking to the Express, Redknapp said, “Tottenham are bang in there still, hopefully, they can finish third.

“Oh yeah [Pochettino] will stay with Spurs, he’s at a great big club. New stadium, great players and a great training ground. What more could you want?”

“And Harry Kane. Absolutely, Harry will be at Spurs for years to come, no danger.”
