Marca’s infamous player ratings are in – two Spurs stars get zero

Tottenham Hotspur made club history on Saturday by appearing in their first ever Champions League final, but the trophy itself was not meant to be.

Liverpool secured a 2-0 victory on the night, scoring at either ends of the match through a bizarre first-minute penalty and a late Divock Origi strike.

However, there were few top performers on the night for either team in what was a pretty poor final in terms of quality of football.

Spurs were by far superior in terms of keeping the ball, but failed to create chances, while Liverpool looked potent on the break but couldn’t retain possession.

Marca have now reportedly released their player ratings for the match, with Kieran Trippier and Heung Min Son being Spurs’ top two performers on 2/3 stars.

Harry Kane and Dele Alli were both given zero, while Virgil Van Dijk was handed a perfect 3/3.

What do you think the scores should have been?
