Marcus Rashford makes clear demand amid Tottenham transfer interest

The latest update on Marcus Rashford’s future comes as a major blow to Tottenham Hotspur after they made advances towards the forward.

The on-loan Man United man has been exceptional since his loan move to Barcelona, managing 16 goal contributions in 20 appearances so far this season.

It first emerged last month that Tottenham had held a discreet meeting with Rashford’s representatives over a move to N17 next season.

It subsequently came to light that Spurs had offered the England international a ‘leading role’ in their team amidst Barcelona’s difficulties in agreeing a permanent deal for the player.

Marcus Rashford does not want a Tottenham transfer

TEAMtalk have now offered a blow by revealing what the United academy graduate’s plan is for next season.

The outlet claims that Rashford is showing no interest in playing for any other club apart from Barcelona next season.

He has informed United that he only wants a move to the Camp Nou, and this situation is ‘causing problems’ among the Red Devils hierarchy.

The outlet adds that the 28-year-old has shunned interest from every other club that has called and has even turned away lucrative advances from Saudi Arabia.

Barcelona’s stance on Rashford is causing problems at Man Utd

TEAMtalk say that Barcelona have informed United that they want Rashford to stay beyond the end of the season.

However, the Catalan giants are having trouble activating the £30m option to buy due to their financial issues.

United were hoping that interest from Tottenham Hotspur and PSG would enable them to get fair financial value for Rashford, but the forward has now made it clear that he is not willing to even talk to other clubs.

Rubem Amorim’s side are now worried Barca could not ask for a reduction in the price of the England star or potentially even another loan for next season.
