Marine FC make announcement regarding FA Cup clash against Tottenham

Marine FC have now revealed that their match against Tottenham in the FA Cup Third Round will be played behind closed doors thanks to new government restrictions.

The Liverpool City region, in which the Marine FC ground resides, was moved into Tier 3 earlier this week, banning fans from attending the match.

The game is set to take place on January 10 and kicks off at 5 pm, although there will surely be people watching on from their gardens and upstairs windows in the houses that align the stadium.

This news comes as a blow to the non-league side who would have been counting on substantial match-day revenue from the event.

As such, the club are now selling match day programmes and Marine/Tottenham scarves in order to raise money, as well as a virtual ticket scheme.

Anyone who purchases a virtual ticket is entered into a raffle and will have the chance to win some amazing prizes, including serving as manager of the club for a day.
