Tottenham Hotspur will take to the field against Marine in the third round of the FA Cup in a matter of hours.
The non-league side have certainly made the most of the build-up to the match and have poked fun at Tottenham’s North London rivals Arsenal on social.
The Merseyside-based club, who play in the eighth-tier of the football pyramid joked on social media that they had rejected an offer from Arsenal to take Mesut Ozil on loan for the match but rubbed added salt in the wounds of the German by stating that they already had enough substitutes.
The Arsenal midfielder has not featured for the club under current manager Mikel Arteta since March and has been linked with a move away from the Emirates but is holding out for payment on his £350,000-a-week contract which still has six months to run (The Sun).
Today will represent Marine’s first FA Cup match against a top-flight opponent.
