Mark Lawrenson makes his prediction for Tottenham’s trip to Leicester

BBC football pundit Mark Lawrenson has had his say on who he thinks will win the Premier League match between Leicester City and Tottenham Hotspur.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side travel to the King Power Stadium on tomorrow evening on the back of a 3-1 win against Premier League strugglers Southampton on Wednesday.

Goals from Harry Kane, Lucas Moura and Heung-min Son went a little way to restoring some pride after the disappointing 4-2 defeat to Arsenal in the North London derby.

It will be interesting to see what side Pochettino picks for this match as he surely has one eye on Tuesday night’s crunch Champions League clash at Barcelona which will decide whether Spurs progress to the knockout stages or drop into the Europa League.

Tottenham’s last match Leicester saw them win 5-4 in a nine goal thriller on the final day of last season.

Lawrenson believes that Tottenham will pick up all three points against the Foxes.

He told BBC Sport Online: “It has been a while since Leicester last lost – a run of seven games since they were beaten at Arsenal on 22 October.

“Tottenham play Barcelona on Tuesday in a game they have to win to reach the last 16 of the Champions League, but I think Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino will pick a strong team here.

“Finishing in the top four and being in the Champions League in Spurs’ first season in their new home will be even more important than getting out of their group this time.

“If Spurs do play a strong team, then I think they will win.

“Lawro’s prediction: 0-2.”
