Mark Lawrenson predicts ‘entertaining’ score for Tottenham vs Arsenal

Mark Lawrenson believes that Tottenham Hotspur will hand Arsenal a blow in their quest for the Premier League title by holding the Gunners to a draw on Sunday.

Arsenal will know what to expect when they travel to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, with a boisterous home crowd expected to create an extremely intimidating atmosphere.

Mikel Arteta has called on his players to put the ‘rivalry aside’ and take the game as another challenge in their quest for the big prize (WION).

Meanwhile, Ange Postecoglou has also played down suggestions that his players will derive extra motivation from the prospect of denting Arsenal’s title hopes, insisting that Tottenham’s motivation comes from wanting to prove a point against one of the best sides in the country (Football.London).

While Spurs’ away form has been poor of late, the Lilywhties have continued to turn in impressive performances at home and they will be keen to prove a point on the back of their embarrassing loss against Newcastle United two weeks ago.

Tottenham vs Arsenal score prediction

Lawrenson expects the two sides to play out an entertaining, high-scoring draw.

The pundit told Paddy Power: “This is arguably Arsenal’s biggest game all season, given that it’s at Tottenham and they’re going for the title. Spurs have stuttered a bit but I’m going to go for an entertaining draw. The North London Derbies are normally pretty good to watch. Tottenham 2-2 Arsenal.”

Spurs Web Opinion

Arsenal boast of the tightest defence in the Premier League but their backline will certainly have their hands full, given the way we play at home. I see both sides getting on the scoresheet.
