Mark Lawrenson has predicted that Burnley will get one over on Jose Mourinho’s Tottenham tomorrow night as the two sides meet at Turf Moor (BBC).
The former Liverpool player has tipped a 2-1 home with for the Clarets, despite Spurs’ impressive goalscoring form of late.
The Lilywhites shipped three past West Ham United last time out in the Premier League within just 16 minutes, although their defensive work in the second half left a lot to be desired.
A second-string Spurs side then defeated LASK in the Europa League at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Thursday, running away 3-0 winners.
When writing about his prediction for BBC, Lawrenson revealed his disbelief at Spurs throwing away a 3-0 lead with just eight minutes left on the clock last week.
Therefore, with Spurs’defence shaking and Burnley looking stronger, he believes that the home side will take the game to the Lilywhites and get their first win of the season.
He said (BBC): “I still can’t quite believe how Tottenham threw away a 3-0 lead against West Ham with less than 10 minutes remaining, and only picked up a point.

“That just showed how Spurs are still something of an enigma and, as dangerous as they are going forward, they are still vulnerable at the back.
“I think Burnley can capitalise, if they take the game to Spurs. The Clarets are getting more and more players back from injury, and I’m backing them to get their first win of the season.”
