Mark Lawrenson predicts how Spurs will get on against Norwich City

Tottenham Hotspur come up against Norwich City away in the Premier League today as they look to make up ground in the top four race yet again.

Spurs were last in action just 48 hours ago against Brighton, when the Lilywhites scraped a 2-1 victory thanks to second-half strikes from Harry Kane and Dele Alli.

This saw Tottenham make up ground on Chelsea, who lost 2-0 at home to Southampton. Arsenal and Sheffield United both dropped points in their respective 1-1 draws.

Leicester City were battered 4-0 by Liverpool, and Man City lost 3-2 to Wolves, meaning Spurs gained on the vast majority of their top-four rivals.

However, Tottenham did miss the chance to break into the Champions League places for the first time under Mourinho last week when they were defeated at home by Chelsea.

The Special One will be hoping to right that wrong away to the Canaries today, and BBC pundit Mark Lawrenson has backed the North London side to do just that.

He predicted a 2-0 win, stating: ‘Norwich made lots of chances in their defeat by Aston Villa but, not for the first time this season, they finished empty-handed.

‘The Canaries will think they can get at Spurs too but, unless they improve defensively, this will probably end up with a familiar outcome for Daniel Farke’s side.’
