Mark Lawrenson shares his prediction ahead of Wolves vs Tottenham

Former Liverpool defender Mark Lawrenson has shared his prediction ahead of Tottenham Hotspur’s Premier League match against Wolverhampton Wanderers tomorrow evening.

Tottenham head into the match looking to reclaim some ground on Liverpool having lost their place to Jurgen Klopp’s side at the top of the table and are now six points behind.

Spurs have lost their last two Premier League games, as many as they had in their previous 22 in the competition (W12 D8). They haven’t lost three consecutive league games since November 2012 under André Villas-Boas.

Wolves are also struggling with form at present, having only won two of their last six top flight outings (transfermarkt).

Tottenham left it until injury time to secure victory at Molineux last season when Jan Vertonghen’s header gave Jose Mourinho all three points in one of his first matches in charge of the North Londoners.

Lawrenson believes that Tottenham will once again drop points in what he claims will be a tight affair between two sides likely to struggle to find the back of the net.

He told the BBC: “Tottenham have hit a little sticky patch, with two defeats and a draw in their past three matches, and Wolves have not been great either, with three defeats in four games in December.

“Goals might be the problem for both teams here, because I can see this being cagey. Both sides really need a win, but they might have to settle for a point apiece.

“Lawro’s prediction: 1-1.”
