Mauricio Pochettino and Jesus Perez pay tribute after passing of former Spurs colleague

Tottenham Hotspur confirmed yesterday evening the tragic and sudden passing of Simon Bamber.

Bamber had been working at the club for a period of nearly twenty years and was overseeing the club’s commercial operations and played a key role in the delivery of the new Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Former head coach Mauricio Pochettino took to Instagram to share a photo of himself and Bamber on a private jet with the Argentine describing him as a ‘very dear friend’

Jesus Perez also paid tribute to Bamber on Twitter after expressing his sympathy and describing his former colleague as ‘the greatest smile among the Spurs family’.

The Evening Standard reported in February that Bamber, who had been working in a consultancy role was due to leave the club next month when his contract expired.

Todd Kline, formerly of the Miami Dolphins was earlier this year appointed as the club’s first chief commercial officer with the aim of looking to secure a financially-lucrative naming rights partner for the new stadium.
