Mauricio Pochettino answers journalist’s question about Danny Rose’s future

Tottenham Hotspur returned from their pre-season tour of the Far East earlier this week after playing matches against Juventus in Singapore and Manchester United in Shanghai.

One player who was left behind in England when the squad jetted off was Danny Rose.

The left-back was given permission for additional time off in order to explore prospective opportunities with other clubs (Spurs official).

A move away from North London has failed to materialise for the 29-year-old and he returned to the Spurs squad for their Audi Cup match this evening.

Rose played the first 45 minutes of the 1-0 win against Spanish giants Real Madrid to get some much needed minutes under his belt.

Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino was asked by the media after the match in Munich about Rose’s future at the club and the Argentinean was quick to remind the press that any player who is still at the club is in his plans.

He told Football.London: “I told you in Singapore and China. I think I was very clear about the situation of the squad. Danny Rose like another 25 or 26 players are here and are my players. I don’t know what I need to say because I was very clear in the past.”
