Mauricio Pochettino officially announced as new boss of European giants

Mauricio Pochettino has now been officially announced as the new boss of Paris Saint Germain, over a year after he was sacked by Tottenham Hotspur.

Pochettino spent five and a half years in charge of the Lilywhites in North London, even guiding them to a Champions League Final in 2019.

However, just a few months after they were beaten in the final by Liverpool, Tottenham decided to part ways with the Argentine in November 2019.

Within 24 hours, Jose Mourinho was announced as the new head coach of Spurs and Pochettino proceeded to take some time away from management.

It appears that the former Tottenham boss has started 2021 with a bang by signing on the dotted line with his former club, PSG.

The former centre-back played 95 times for the French giants between 2000 and 2003, even wearing the captain’s armband for the club he now manages (Wikipedia).
