Mauricio Pochettino reveals injured first team star will be involved against Palace

Tottenham Hotspur have been hit with a fresh batch of injuries in recent weeks, despite welcoming back first team stars Dele Alli and Harry Kane.

The likes of Serge Aurier, Eric Dier, Erik Lamela, Fernando Llorente, and Harry Winks have all picked up problems in the last couple of weeks that has kept them out the side.

The club have already confirmed that the majority of these will not be fit to feature against Crystal Palace tomorrow night, but Pochettino has now made one surprising revelation.

He claims that Harry Winks will play some part in proceedings, most likely from the bench.

This would be rather fitting, as one of the first team stars that came from the academy, the first competitive match at the new stadium will be a huge occasion for Winks.

Let’s hope that Winksy gets some time on the pitch, as Spurs have missed his quick tempo of passing and positive driving runs in recent games.

Poch said (Football London): “He is going to be involved maybe on the bench. He’s in the squad.”
