Mauricio Pochettino reveals the club he wants to return to in ten years

Tottenham Hotspur are now around four months into their journey under Jose Mourinho in North London after sacking Mauricio Pochettino last November.

This came after five and a half years of growth under the Argentine, as Spurs pushed from a Europa League team to one that challenged for the Premier League and Champions League.

Unfortunately, a woeful run of form in 2019, despite a Champions League Final, ultimately led to Pochettino’s demise, as he left Tottenham without a trophy to his name.

The highly-rated manager has yet to take on a new managerial position since the Spurs sacking, but has now revealed his dream to link up with Lionel Messi in Argentina.

The Daily Mail claim that Messi has often expressed a desire to one day return to Newell’s Old Boys, and Poch has now said that he would like to join him. The Argentine gaffer also started his career at Newell’s.

Poch said (Radio del Plata – relayed by Daily Mail): “I want to return to Newell’s with Messi.

“I can still wait, [for an opportunity] and the best [possible scenario] would be in 10 years with Messi.”
