Mauricio Pochettino surprises former Spurs player by turning up at training ground

Former Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino showed his class yesterday after turning up at Watford’s training ground earlier today.

Pochettino, who is back in England following a post-season holiday decided to make the short journey to the Hornets’ training facility to wish Danny Rose a happy birthday and was spotted embracing the 31-year-old.

Rose, who was released by Tottenham at the end of last season signed a two-year contract with the Premier League newcomers.

Pochettino and Rose were known for their close relationship during their time together at Tottenham which saw Andros Towsend describe the left-back as ‘literally the son of Pochettino’.

Tottenham were reported to have held talks with Pochettino about a sensational return to the club this summer to replace Jose Mourinho, but a move failed to materalise which will see him continue his role as head coach of Paris Saint-Germain (The Guardian).
