Former Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino showed his class yesterday after turning up at Watford’s training ground earlier today.

Pochettino, who is back in England following a post-season holiday decided to make the short journey to the Hornets’ training facility to wish Danny Rose a happy birthday and was spotted embracing the 31-year-old.

Rose, who was released by Tottenham at the end of last season signed a two-year contract with the Premier League newcomers.

Pochettino and Rose were known for their close relationship during their time together at Tottenham which saw Andros Towsend describe the left-back as ‘literally the son of Pochettino’.

Tottenham were reported to have held talks with Pochettino about a sensational return to the club this summer to replace Jose Mourinho, but a move failed to materalise which will see him continue his role as head coach of Paris Saint-Germain (The Guardian).

Have something to tell us about this article?

  1. I always thought Poch was class.. ALWAYS. Levy was a damn fool to remove him but I guess it is cheaper to replace the manager than the new players he asked for.
