Maurizio Pochettino raves about Tottenham 20-year-old – ‘One of the best’

Maurizio Pochettino, the son of former Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino, has claimed that Oliver Skipp is one of the best footballers he has ever played with.

The midfielder, who played within Tottenham’s academy ranks until recently, highlighted what a great season Skipp has had with Norwich, while also adding that he is a ‘great guy’ in an interview with Rising Baller (Instagram story).

Skipp was loaned out to the Championship side at the start of the season in search of more consistent minutes and he certainly found that.

If not for an injury that kept him out of the final match, Skipp would have likely appeared in every single Championship game for the Canaries (TransferMarkt).

Maurizio was on the Tottenham books with Skipp in the academy until he left recently to link up with Watford. When asked who the best player he has played with was, his mind went straight to Skippy.

He said: “One of the best players I have played with is Oliver Skipp or Skippy. He has had a great season at Norwich. And he’s a great guy too.”

Spurs fans will be hoping to see Skipp back in the first-team picture in North London next season and some may even be praying for Maurizio’s dad to be managing him once more.
