‘Maybe not’ – Alasdair Gold provides good and bad news on Udogie and Porro injuries

Alasdair Gold has revealed that Destiny Udogie is expected to be fit for the clash against Crystal Palace on March 2 but the journalist had some bad news on the Pedro Porro front.

Porro and Udogie have both been mainstays in Ange Postecoglou’s starting eleven and have become increasingly more adept at inverting and handling possession in the middle of the park.

Their importance to the side was clear for all to see last Saturday against Wolves, with neither Ben Davies nor Emerson Royal offering the same sort of penetration in possession.

With Ryan Sessegnon currently also sidelined with an injury, Postecoglou has no choice but to stick with Davies for the left-back role if Udogie is unavailable.

Porro may not be back in time for Crystal Palace game

Thankfully for Spurs, Gold has now confirmed that the Italian is expected to be available for the Eagles’ trip to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in a week and a half but the journalist revealed that Porro is likely to sit out the clash.

Gold said on his YouTube channel: “It looks like Udogie should – hopefully – be back in time for the Crystal Palace game. Whereas, Porro maybe not.”

Spurs Web Opinion

It sounds like Porro’s muscle injury might be a little more serious than initially thought, which is a concern. The Spaniard has been one of Tottenham’s most consistent performers this season and Postecoglou will be desperate to have him back as soon as possible.
