McLeish on Hutton to Villa rumours

Alan Hutton - Tottenham Hotspur News

Aston Villa boss Alex McLeish remained tight-lipped in whether he was set to sign Alan Hutton from Tottenham Hotspur.

Villa have allowed right-back Luke Young to secure a move to QPR and McLeish is planning on bringing in Hutton as his replacement.

“We will try to fill that gap, we will try to bring someone else in,” said McLeish.

“Am I interested in Alan Hutton? He is a Spurs player. It’s difficult for me to comment on other team’s players.

“But we are ready with a few names. We would try and add. We are thin on the ground in terms of experience in the squad.

“We have a lot of good young players but in terms of experienced ones we are a bit thin.”

  1. He should go. Hutton attacks too much for a club who uses wide wingers although Lennon does cut inside, he mostly still is a crossing winger so he players wide. Hutton when he attacks he will push Lennon in and stop Lennon from running behind the backline.
