Tottenham Hotspur are said to be close to announcing the biggest ever transfer in the history of the football club, just weeks after reaching the Champions League Final for the first time.
Sky Sports say that Spurs have already agreed a fee of £65m with Lyon over a deal for their midfield star Tanguy Ndombele in what would be a club record signing.
The Sun claim that the deal should be announced ‘shortly’ after Ndombele was taken on a tour of the club’s impressive modern training ground this week by Pochettino himself.
Elsewhere in North London, Arsenal are said to have just £45m to spend this summer (Daily Mail), despite Tottenham going out and buying one player alone for £20m more than that.
Tensions are already running high in the red side of North London, after Spurs finished about Arsenal yet again last season.
One Mesut Ozil fan account in particular on Twitter had a complete meltdown over the Ndombele deal.
Is Tanguy Ndombele a code name for trophy? It’s just spurs fans are celebrating it like they’ve won one. https://t.co/qrr2xwCRYa

Ndombele is literally miles off Paul Pogba it’s actually staggering

Realistically, Ndombele won’t make up the 26-27 points that Spurs finished behind Liverpool and City. They will need at least 3 more signings of a similar quality to really make them title challengers.

Spurs fans are actually embarrassing. They’re celebrating Ndombele (who hasn’t officially signed yet) like they’ve just won the Premier League.
Of course, I don’t blame them since they will never win the league in their entire life time. #FOYS

If spurs don’t sign Ndombele then they are the biggest bottlers of all time

Have something to tell us about this article?
Jealousy is such an ugly emotion!
“just weeks after reaching the Champions League for the first time”
I think you have missed the word Final out of that sentence mate
Oh dear we are getting ourselves in a tizzy, never mind you know what you will be doing on Thursday nights next season. You can always see us on Tuesdays and Wednesdays or will the tears get in the way?
and how many points were Arsenhole behind Shitty & Liverfool last season?
Perhaps Arsenal could ‘rent’ some players? Or use their transfer budget to ‘pay off’ Ozick and start again!
