The situation surrounding Harry Kane and his potential move to Bayern Munich has dominated the headlines of the footballing world all summer, but Micah Richards and Alan Shearer cannot agree on whether it is the right move for the England captain.
Tottenham Hotspur have been fending off interest from Bayern Munich throughout the current transfer window, but as things stand, Harry Kane remains at the club.
The German side’s latest bid, worth a reported £86m, was rejected by Spurs. As the new season fast approaches, it is suggested that Kane is more likely to stay with Tottenham now, for the next year, at least (Daily Mail).
With Kane in the final year of his current contract with Spurs, there is of course the possibility that the star striker will leave for nothing next summer. It is assumed that there will be plenty of offers on his plate if he does decide to leave at the end of the season.

Would a move to Bayern be good for Harry Kane?
Whether a move to Bayern Munich would be right for Kane has been debated all summer, too.
The 30-year-old would inevitably win silverware in Germany, but there are doubts as to whether the Bundesliga is competitive enough. And, of course, there is the Premier League goalscoring record to consider.
Discussing the matter on The Rest is Football podcast, Micah Richards and Alan Shearer had opposing views on what Kane should do.
With that record in mind, Shearer said: “Let me just say this beforehand. Obviously, I’m delighted if he goes as it means I will keep the record but for him, I think it’s a great move.”
Richards quickly responded: “Shut up, you’re talking absolute nonsense! Are you being serious?”
But, Shearer backed up his comments, adding: “Hear me out! He’s going to a huge football club who win the league and will have an unbelievable chance of winning the Champions League.
“If he wants to come back in 12 months – and my guess is, if he leaves Spurs will have a buy-back clause at a certain price – if he doesn’t like it after 12 months, he can still come back and break the record.”
The idea of a buy-back clause has been mooted already (Sky Sports), but Richards doesn’t see it happening. “Bayern are not going to give him a clause to go back to Spurs and break Alan Shearer’s record, come on,” the pundit argued.
Spurs Web Opinion
There is no doubt that Harry Kane would win some trophies at Bayern, but would a Bundesliga title – something Bayern could easily achieve with or without Kane – actually be worth harming his Tottenham legacy for? I don’t think so, but Kane has been very quiet about his future so it’s hard to tell where he stands on the matter.
