Michael Bridge reveals Spurs’ transfer strategy after they land Cristian Romero

Sky Sports reporter Michael Bridge has hinted that Tottenham Hotspur’s transfer business is far from done during the current window.

Bridge has claimed that Tottenham will switch their attention to three other positions once they wrap up the £47million arrival of Cristian Romero.

Fabio Paratici will look to bring in another defender to compliment the Argentine, while also focusing on the final third of the pitch with a creative midfielder and a new forward in their sights.

Tottenham have already brought in Pierluigi Gollini from Atlanta and followed it up with the arrival of Bryan Gil from Sevilla.

It is reassuring to hear that the club are focusing on three areas where we desperately need improvement. The first-half performance from Eric Dier and Japhet Tanganga in the heart of the Spurs defence against Chelsea was far from convincing.

We have failed to find a replacement for a creative spark who can unlock an opposition defence since the departure of Christian Eriksen, while another forward is a no-brainer, even if Kane stays at the club.
