Michael Owen predicts Huddersfield vs Tottenham

Tottenham made it two wins from two as they beat Watford in the Carabao cup on Wednesday, following a Premier League victory against Brighton last weekend.

Spurs take on Huddersfield this weekend, but could be without Christian Eriksen and Hugo Lloris for the away trip.

Pochettino’s men are in desperate need of a long-run of wins after losing three on the bounce to Watford, Liverpool, and Inter Milan this month.

Erik Lamela will be hoping for a starting spot against Huddersfield, as he has now scored 5 and set up 2 in 5 games.

Harry Kane should return to the starting line up after being rested for the trip to Milton Keynes against Watford in the cup.

Michael Owen has predicted a Spurs win for the game, and stated that ‘Belgium’ international Erik Lamela has given Poch a headache decision.

Perhaps he’s confused over Erik’s nationality, Michael…

Owen told Bet Victor: “Town supporters have yet to see their side find the back of the net at home this season and it might be another barren weekend for the Terriers when Spurs visit the John Smith’s Stadium.

“Erik Lamela has given Mauricio Pochettino a welcome headache in recent weeks with the Belgium international coming off the bench to score in Spurs’ last couple of league games. He will be itching for a start.

“Spurs have scored in 31 of their last 32 PL games and I expect them to take all three points in west Yorkshire.”
