Michael Owen predicts who will win between Tottenham vs Watford

Tottenham Hotspur will be looking to plug the gaps in their leaky defence tomorrow when they face Watford.

Spurs headed into the international break on the back of one of their lowest weeks in recent history having been hammered 7-2 by Bayern Munich and outplayed by Brighton in a 3-0 loss on the south coast.

Supporters will once again by looking for a reaction from Mauricio Pochettino’s side against the Hornets who are without a win in the Premier League this season.

This should certainly act as a warning to Tottenham, with anything less than three points likely to increase the media spotlight once again in the direction of Pochettino and his players.

Spurs will be without the services of club captain Hugo Lloris through injury while Christian Eriksen remains a doubt after picking up a dead leg on international duty with Denmark.

Former Liverpool and England striker Michael Owen has shared his prediction ahead of the match.

Owen believes that Spurs will return to winning ways tomorrow afternoon but will once again fail to keep a clean sheet.

He told BetVictor: “Watford are without a win so far this season, but they did keep a rare clean sheet at Bramall Lane last time – their first in 19 Premier League games.

“Spurs have conceded 10 goals in their last couple of competitive games and they, too, badly need three points to get their season back on track. Spurs have won three of their four home league games so far this term, however, and I expect to see the hosts pick up a valuable three points against a Hornets side who currently prop up the table.

“Spurs to win and both teams to score.”
