Michael Owen tweets good news for Spurs fans

Tottenham Hotspur fans may have been slightly worried about the future of their manager Mauricio Pochettino this week, especially after the side slipped to three defeats in the last four games.

It is no longer certain whether Tottenham will qualify for the Champions League next season, and with Real Madrid looking likely to sack their manager, things looked ominous for Poch.

However, good news in the last day or so as Madrid re-appointed Zinedine Zidane as their manager until 2022.

This completely rules out Pochettino for the job, leaving just the Manchester United rumours as an issue for Spurs.

However, with United flying under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, it seems likely that he too will be given a full-time job come the end of the season.

All of these things point towards Pochettino remaining at Tottenham for at least another season, something Michael Owen was keen to point out on Twitter.

Have something to tell us about this article?

  1. Poch is not the problem at Spurs. Daniel is becoming a pain at the club. He must approve good signings IN and not OUT. We always are hearing that we are in line for a substitute for Toby as if there is a better defender in the business and last game we could easily see what his absence leave at the back. Get your act together Daniel. Ok buy a defender for when Toby hangs up his boots but it has to be at Spurs.
