Michail Antonio predicts two PL destinations for Harry Kane and how much he will cost

Michail Antonio has suggested that a move to Liverpool could be on the cards for Harry Kane this summer.

The records continue to tumble for Harry Kane, who became England’s all-time leading goalscorer during the international break, just months on from breaking Jimmy Greaves’ record for Tottenham.

However, the one asterisk that remains next to the striker’s name is the fact that he is yet to win silverware, with some pundits encouraging the Spurs man to jump ship this summer in order to win some trophies (16/03/23 Channel 4 via MEN).

Over the last couple of months, the 29-year-old has been heavily linked with a move to Manchester United (Telegraph) but there have been some suggestions recently that the Red Devils might prioritise a move for Napoli’s Victor Osimhen instead (Ben Jacobs – The Football Terrace).

Antonio believes that Kane could potentially be on his way to Anfield in the summer, remarking that Jurgen Klopp’s men need a number nine.

The West Ham striker said on the Footballers’ Football Podcast about the Tottenham man: “The only place he can go is [Manchester] United.

“[Manchester] City have [Erling] Haaland. United need to bring someone.

“Actually, there’s two places he can go. United and Liverpool. Liverpool need a No.9. The only two places. I’m thinking it’s £100m.”

There is no chance that Liverpool would spend £100m plus on Kane this summer just 12 months on from spending a similar fee on Darwin Nunez as that is not consistent with their business model.

Realistically, Man Utd are the only club that the 29-year-old can join in the summer if he wants to remain in the Premier League.
