Tottenham player confirmed in senior line-up for double header

It has been an incredible week in the life of Troy Parrott and it has been capped off by a call up to the senior Republic of Ireland squad for the very first time.

Parrott was included on the bench against Everton last Sunday as Spurs travelled to Goodison. Although the youngster did not feature, it was a big step in his Tottenham career.

Troy then travelled with the first team for the flight to Belgrade earlier this week, although he was not a part of the matchday squad against Red Star.

Pochettino seems to be slowly easing the Irishman into the first-team set-up in North London and his form this season has also caught the eye of Mick McCarthy.

The senior Ireland manager decided to call the Spurs man up to the squad that will face New Zealand in a friendly this month, before taking on Denmark in a UEFA EURO 2020 qualifier.

Could Parrott face off against Spurs teammate Christian Eriksen?
